QN: Milan and Inter put pressure on the council 1000 days after launching stadium project

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are now open to all possibilities regarding the construction of a new stadium after being frustrated by the council’s stance.

QN (via MilanNews) recall how Milan president Paolo Scaroni and Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello both spoke on Radio 24 on Tutti Convocati on what is the 1000th day since the presentation of the project for the new stadium.

In particular the words of Scaroni made it very clear that patience is running out: “If in another municipality the times are shorter, we will like it more than at San Siro where maybe it will take five years.”

Although in recent weeks the hypothesis of moving to Sesto San Giovanni has been rumoured from many sources, neither the president of Milan nor Antonello have mentioned any names, but the clubs will keep all available options open.

The council keep dragging their feet and in the mean time the clubs will continue to push for a new state-of-the-art facility, which would mean an important turning point from an economic point of view, and it would even have a positive impact on the entire image of Milano on a European level.
