Jonathan David’s agent Nikos Mavromaras has made it known that he visited San Siro, amid the links with AC Milan and Inter in the media.
As Calciomercato.com report, a post from the Instagram profile the FIFA agent showed a photo of him in Italy and more specifically at the home of the two Milanese clubs, which has understandably caused a bit of a stir.
At the moment it seems that Inter’s interest in the Canadian is concrete and Tuesday might have been a good chance for them to pitch their project. However, what continues to filter from the Nerazzurri management is that the operation is ‘complex’ due to the costs involved.
Even though there would be no transfer fee given his deal with Lille is expiring, it is expected that he will demand a salary of €6-7m net per season from his next club, to which high commissions and a signing-on fee would obviously be added.
It is estimated that the annual cost of David could be between €11-13m, which is far from extortionate considering other transfer operations usually include an amortised fee on top of the gross salary. There are many interested clubs, the competition is broad and the player will soon have to choose.
It is possible that Milan launch their candidacy too, having been linked with the Canada international extensively over the past couple of years. Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham are struggling to score consistently, while the Englishman and Luka Jovic are not currently contracted beyond 2025.
the ball is in your court management…
ST (J.David), sub-LB (Parisi – Adli deal), 2 midfielders (2 CM/CDM or 1 CDM/CM and 1 more CAM), quality RB (heck Rensch even, I have 0 expectation from them to get Tomiyasu) to complete the squad
Fagioli is reported to be sold for 25-30M… why aren’t we using the Kalulu deal to get him?!
He’s Italian, can’t have that
The flop fishing
How is he a flop? Hasn’t his UCL goals shown that he can perform on a high level?
Not really, no. UCL is all about daily form.
Scoring a goal now and then there and scoring regularly in serie a are night and day. He will flop in serie A guaranteed.
I give you all one guess out of the 2 Milan clubs who will agree to pay his salary and realise if it doesn’t work out they can sell for 30/40m the following season, regardless of agents commissions they understand that they have an asset to sell or an asset that contributes to the teams success.
You should join Milan as a business consultant. It sounds so simple when you say it 👍
what salary? he plays for 1M net atm. you think any club will offer him more than 4M net?
of course he’ll be priority, an AmeriCanadian (born in New York) for jeri it’s enough reason that he’s better than Haaland
If it’s free plus a good player, then it must be Inter.
he is leao in ST position, a runner, not really suited with fonseca formation. if we get him, he will be used to alternate with/replace leao
I don’t think Fonseca is coach next season so it doesn’t matter.
Visiting San Siro? So, Inter it is then.
I doubt that Milan willing to sign him, yes he is free but his salary demand is high.. And Milan prefer spending 20-30 m and low salary.. With gery I don’t think Milan is aiming for the title.. May be top four finish so Milan play in UCL and earning more money.. Milan is the “new Atalanta”
