GdS: UEFA inform Milan and Inter that they have breached FFP parameters – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

UEFA have written to AC Milan and Inter to inform them that they have not respected the rules of Financial Fair Play, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes how FFP has not disappeared contrary to some presumptions made during the pandemic, but rather the rules will be rewritten by the month of May and will come into force from the 2024-25 season onwards.

The budgets of even the biggest European clubs have obviously affected by Covid but UEFA have found that around 30 teams failed to meet FFP parameters and among them are Inter, Milan and Roma, who have already received written communication to that effect, with Juve to join that list shortly.

In 2020, UEFA already adapted their monitoring parameters as a three-year period became four-year, thus combining 2020 and 2021 to give teams more of a chance to recover revenues and for their accounts to improve, and also to give the opportunity to spread losses.

However, it wasn’t enough. Italian clubs are not expected to be sanctioned during the transitional period that will lead to the new rules though, because if they excluded any Serie A team they would have to boot 29 others out of their competitions.

  1. You basically need an owner that owns a company that can “sponsor” the club. Just pump in how much you need and there is no FFP, like PSG does all the time.

    1. True …they just need to invest or pump money untill it’s legal that’s enough for them…this is corrupt Uefa and their dirty games…that’s why clubs run by the companies are investing billions by just pumping in money by name of sponsors…this is the reason that pushed the clubs to super league I guess…

      1. Now that I realize how that bastard PSG always avoid FFP Rules, beside relying on their owner who becomes UEFA board member…

    2. Yup. We have one of the richest owners in world but they don’t seem that keen on spending like PSG, and Man City do…

  2. This is bs. How italy teams can get revenues with the broadcasting fee is low as f*ck. A relegation team on PL is having more revenues from broadcasting. Is it fair? Figc too is useless group along with their corrupt ref. Same as uefa

  3. Corrupted UEFA has receive bribe money from PSG and manc city owner. How can Italian club strengthen their squad if always UEFA block their way with FFP
