From Spain: Milan interested in Atalanta forward put will not pay €15m asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in bolstering their attack by signing Luis Muriel from Atalanta in the summer but only if they lower the asking price, a report claims.

According to Fichajes.net, Atalanta have set a €15m price for the forward in view of the upcoming summer transfer market, a price that seems low when considering he has 51 goals in 113 games for the Bergamo club since he arrived a few seasons back.

Milan are interested in getting his services in the summer, but are not willing to pay the €15m required because they want to sign more important players with their summer budget, to continue putting together a team capable of winning Serie A in the coming years.

Atalanta will not lower its sale price for the time being especially when considering they would be selling to a rival, so they will only sell the 30-year-old Colombian if a club offers what they want.
