Reports: Milan interested in signing Fiorentina goalkeeper on a free amid probable exit

By Oliver Fisher -

More reports have emerged suggesting that Pietro Terracciano is a target for AC Milan as they may be in need of a new goalkeeper.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are monitoring the situation surrounding Terracciano because his contract with Fiorentina will expire in June 2023. The negotiations for a renewal have stalled and the Rossoneri are thinking about a move for two reasons.

The first is because he has shown himself to be a reliable back-up goalkeeper in his career, and the second is because he is an Italian-trained player which is very useful for the issue linked to the UEFA squad lists.

It is likely that Milan will bid farewell to Ciprian Tatarusanu at the end of the season as per the newspaper, which would therefore leave a spot to fill as the deputy to Mike Maignan.

Corriere Fiorentino (via MilanNews) also report that Fiorentina are struggling with the renewal of Terracciano because he wants a pay rise from €300k net per season to around €1m, with Milan monitoring developments.
