MN: Milan have an internal solution to replace Kessie as another key renewal is close

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan already have a plan in mind for what they will do when Franck Kessie leaves on a free transfer and the solution is an internal one, a report claims.

MilanNews reports how Ismael Bennacer’s form in the double pivot seems to be constantly on the up and the Algerian midfielder – who started this season as the first alternative to the Kessie-Tonali duo – is back to providing high-level performances.

It is clear that the situation regarding the renewal of Kessie could change some dynamics, especially in terms of the market. Bennacer is now one step away from a renewal with Milan on the basis of an extension until 2026 at around €3m net per season.

It is an agreement that, once completed, would be enormously important because it would be another sign that the Rossoneri are able to get key parts of their project to commit their long-term future to the club, and Kessie would in theory already be replaced in the XI.
