GdS: Milan make €40m-rated Sweden international the No.1 target to replace Ibrahimovic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must soon resolve the situation surrounding the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and they have an eye on his compatriot as a potential replacement, a report claims.

As reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic is at a crossroads and by the end of the season he must decide whether to negotiate a renewal with Milan and stay for another year – but not as a first choice – or he will say goodbye and end his second stint at the club, possibly retiring too.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara cannot stand by and watch, waiting for his decision, so the Rossoneri are already considering options to replace Ibrahimovic in case he does go. The first name on the list is Ibra’s countryman Alexander Isak who plays for Real Sociedad and has already shown a lot of promise.

He scored 17 league goals in 34 appearances last season but only has four goals so far this year, which is why his asking price is set at around €40m rather than being much higher. The 22-year-old is tall but has a lot of pace and good technique, which makes him the number one target.

  1. You post alot on why we can’t afford this and that, yet here you are linking us to yet another expensive prospect, all the while telling us that Belloti is up for grabs for free! Someone is not thinking clearly over there.

  2. He is not good enough, just too much overrated.

Use that 40mil on a quality ACM, goal scoring threat ,good with assist and great in set pieces king, try Nkunku from red bull or wolves Neves

Striker get Belloti for free and promote Nasti and Lazetic to deputize for him along with Zlatan and Giroud . That’s enough striking force.

And we need to light up that RW position with assist king and someone who can drive crosses to our striker’s not this cut back and driving centrally always of salemakers and cut back to suite left foot of predictable offensive play from Massias he is a impact guy not good enough to start games day in week out .

  3. last post from my side, get Sesko or Simic!!
    Motives: Daka, Haaland, Dabour, Adeyemi!!
And yes RW is critical, but managment do not understand that. All can focus on Rafa, why? no impact on RW!!
