AC Milan have been linked with yet another young talent from South America as they are scouting Joel Ordóñez, according to a report.
According to journalist Nicolas Ayala (via BOLAVIP), Milan are following a talent that features in the Copa Libertadores U20 and their scouts are at work to monitor his development. The 17-year-old defender impressed at youth level and his great performances have already led him to be part of the first team of Independient del Valle.
Ordóñez is a defender with great potential as per the report and he showed all his qualities in the the U20 Libertadores competition where his side finished second. The Ecuadorian defender has come through their youth system and could make a big leap to Europe.
Milan have shown a willingness to bring in young talent that is not necessarily fully established with a senior team, as seen with the Pierre Kalulu’s arrival from Lyon.
