Reports: Milan alerted as Saul’s return from Chelsea pushes Atletico midfielder towards exit

By Oliver Fisher -

Atletico Madrid are likely to say goodbye to Koke in the summer and AC Milan might be interested in signing him, according to reports.

Calciomercato.it begin their report by citing El Gol Digital in claiming that Atletico Madrid will welcome back Saul Niguez in the summer, who is on loan at Chelsea this season (though they do have an option to buy), and that will mean that Koke is pushed out.

It is unlikely that the Spanish midfielder will permanently leave Los Rojiblancos – the he has always represented – so a loan sale is more than likely in this case as well and Serie A could be among the destinations that he would consider.

Two Italian clubs in particular should be monitored: the first is Juventus looking for a midfielder with the same characteristics that Koke has and above all on a low-cost operation, so they could try their look.

However, attention should also be paid to Milan who will say goodbye to Frank Kessié on a free transfer so they will have to intervene in that area of the pitch.
