CM.it: Milan and Juventus admirers of 21-year-old Bologna defender valued at €15-20m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter both have their sights on Bologna defender Arthur Theate ahead of the summer window, accowing to a report.

It is well known that Milan need at least one new centre-back this summer given the imminent exit of Alessio Romagnoli, but doubts such as a potential loan for Matteo Gabbia and how Simon Kjaer comes back after his long injury mean other profiles are also being monitored.

According to Calciomercato.it, Milan and Juventus both have their sights on the 21-year-old Arthur Theate who is on loan from Ostend at Bologna and they will exercise their €6m option to buy in the summer.

His possible sale for a large capital gain cannot be excluded this summer as his reputation continues to rise, given Theate made his Belgium debut earlier this season at 21 years and 5 months old.

He is left-footed and has the ability to play as a left-back if necessary, meaning he would be a great partner for both Matthijs de Ligt and Fikayo Tomori, but a bid of €15-20m would be needed to make Bologna think.
