Gallery: ‘Milan-Juve without excitement’, ‘0-0 for Inter’ – Today’s front pages of Italian papers

By Oliver Fisher -

A fixture that generated a lot of anticipation in the days prior failed to live up to expectations as AC Milan and Juventus played out a 0-0 draw last night at San Siro.

In truth it was anything but a classic, with both sides showing a lack of clarity when asked to attack in behind and cause problems for their opponents, which perhaps shows why Milan’s Scudetto dream is fading fast while Juve are struggling to get into the top four. Below is how the papers reacted…

Gazzetta dello Sport: “It ends 0-0 for Inter. Little excitement between Milan and Juve: Diavolo at -4. Ibrahimovic quickly out, Dybala doesn’t make an impact, it’s just a draw.”

Corriere dello Sport: “They are playing for Inter. It ends 0-0 at San Siro: leaders go +4 over Pioli and Spalletti with a game in hand. Milan-Juve without excitement, a disappointing draw that favours Inzaghi. After the break, Milan Derby becomes decisive for the Scudetto.”

Tuttosport: “Not much excitement in the San Siro clash with Milan, who lose Ibra to injury.”
