Another report has emerged suggesting that AC Milan are a potential destination for Alvaro Morata ahead of the summer window.
Calciomercato.com begin their report by stating that Morata has always has always enjoyed his time in Italy and would gladly return, given it is where his wife is from and he likes the everyday life the country offers as well as being able to see his many friends there.
From a football point of view he feels a particular attachment with Serie A, given he had two spell at Juventus from 2014 to 2016 and then again for the two-year period from 2020 to 2022, amassing a total of 185 games and 59 goals plus seven trophies.
Among the possible destinations ahead of the summer it is Juventus and Milan that are circulating above all. The biggest obstacle for both is his salary, because the 30-year-old Spaniard earns €9m net per season at Atletico Madrid and has a contract until 2024. The former Real Madrid man would be willing to lower his salary, but certainly not by much.
The second obstacle concerns the possible future resale value (or lack thereof) for both clubs who must be careful with the financial investments they make. Morata, who will turn 31 in October, is heading towards the final stage of his career and that means any transfer fee would likely be a sunk cost.
The third and final hurdle – which specifically concerns Milan more than Juve – is the reservations that the Rossoneri management have towards the goalscoring ability of Morata.
In an attack that doesn’t score much, Milan need for a striker who guarantees an average number of goals per season higher than what Morata has in his career. His best season was 2016-17 at Real, when he scored 15 goals.
In addition to Juve and Milan there is a third Italian hypothesis: Roma. However, for the Giallorossi there are also financial considerations to be made, despite the very strong bond of friendship between the Spaniard and Paulo Dybala.
Either buy a proper CF or give Lazetič and Colombo a chance.. Morata is a 10-15 goals a season player. Milan already has that in Giroud.
Why would you pay 15-20M€ fee and 5M a season pay for 10-15 goals a season?
“Morata is a 10-15 goals a season player. ”
LOL. No he’s not! He’s a 5-9 goal a season player in a great team with world-class playmakers. In Milan he’s a 2-3 goal man.
Milan chúng ta đang làm cái quái gì vậy? Từ chuyển nhượng cho đến loại bỏ hay giữ người. Thực không hiểu.
This guy is he still active..
