Mateo Retegui scored his 25th goal of the season in Atalanta’s win over Genoa, with AC Milan and Juventus both keen on signing him.
As Calciomercato.com recall, Retegui had gone three games without scoring and it was perhaps fate that he brought up 25 goals against his former club Genoa. He is on course for the Capocannoniere, and this has attracted some interest.

Retegui: Wanted by Milan and Juventus
Atalanta signed the Italian from Genoa in August for €22m plus bonuses. He is already worth double in the eye of La Dea, but they are also of the belief that there are those who would offer up to €60m, as for Lookman and Ederson.
Even though his contract expires in 2028, Milan and Juventus have already picked up the phone. The Rossoneri were already about to steal him from Atalanta a year ago, before choosing Alvaro Morata, and Juve were also close to the coup.
However, the Nerazzurri’s plan is clear: not to let Retegui end up like Højlund, who only stayed one season in Bergamo. Two years are considered the bare minimum in Zingonia, especially because the management wants to build an even more competitive team, to keep getting into the Champions League.
If at least one of Lookman or Ederson is destined to say goodbye, the club want to keep the striker at all costs, even by refusing big bids. The player’s will could be key though, as Teun Koopmeiners shows: if the Dutchman hadn’t put his foot down, he would have stayed.
Milan can want who ever they want but the fact is that Milan don’t have the money nor the interest of Retegui’s. Why would he come to a club where no one can create any scoring chances? Especially Tijj & Pulisic gone. Oh right, we’d still have Musah & Emerson Royal. 🙂
Atalanta players don’t work well at other teams because they are a product of Gasp’s system and there’s no pressure at Atalanta. Gasp develops them then almost taints them. LOL!!!

Maybe a year ago retegui was one of the most wanted by Maldini but the American rejected. Now they are want it again but with different price . Mostly high prices. Hahaha…
