MN: Milan to close €5m deal in next 48 hours – sizeable summer investment already planned

By Oliver Fisher -

The last week of the transfer market has begun and AC Milan could still end up making a couple of signings, with one set to be announced in the next few days.

According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri will seal the arrival of striker Marko Lazetic from the Red Star Belgrade in an operation which will be worth a total of €5m. At the same time, the loan of Pietro Pellegri will be terminated and he will officially return to Monaco before going to Torino, where he will reunite with his old boss at Genoa, Ivan Juric.

As for the pursuit of a centre-back, the feeling is that the management could end up not making a signing after the countless different targets linked and all the reports about players being close to joining.

Eric Bailly of Manchester United and Abdou Diallo of PSG are the two targets that have not yet completely been crossed out of the list, but a young player could arrive as a ‘surprise’. In the summer a bigger investment is planned, with Sven Botman of Lille currently the favourite but Bremer of Torino an option too.
