AC Milan are giving a real thought to the possibility of bringing Francesco Acerbi back to the club, but not as an alternative to Sven Botman.
As reported on Gianluca Di Marzio‘s website, Acerbi cannot be excluded as a possibility to reinforce Milan’s defence because he would be very useful for the UEFA and Serie A squad lists that require a certain amount of homegrown players.
He would not be an alternative to Botman, but a solution that the Rossoneri could also think of. For now they have only talked about the idea with the agent of the 34-year-old and not with Lazio directly, though he is expected to leave this summer.
There are also continuous contacts over a potential deal for Hakim Ziyech. It is an operation that will still be difficult, but this time there is hope regarding a loan with option to buy even if Chelsea are trying for an obligation.
As for Renato Sanches, Milan are still confident of closing the deal because they believe that PSG’s interest could be a disruptive manoeuvre rather than an actual concrete pursuit.
