GdS: Milan one of three clubs interested in emerging Hellas Verona defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing to monitor the situation surrounding Hellas Verona defender Nicolo Casale but they are not alone, according to a report.

It is well known that Milan need at least one new centre-back this summer given the imminent exit of Alessio Romagnoli, and Sven Botman has been heavily linked to replace him, but doubts such as a potential loan for Matteo Gabbia and how Simon Kjaer comes back after his long injury mean other profiles are also being monitored.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Casale is one of the players who represent the growth of Hellas Verona this season under head coach Igor Tudor as he continues to develop in one of the most promising defenders in the league.

He has ended up in the crosshairs of some top Italian clubs as Lazio are keen on signing him to bolster the centre-back options available to Maurizio Sarri, while Napoli and Milan have also been on his trail in view of next season.
