MN: Milan retain interest in Lazio star four years on – with Investcorp he could arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have taken the first steps towards exploring a potential deal for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a report claims.

MilanNews report some background on Milan’s pursuit of Milinkovic-Savic by claiming that the club wanted to sign him back in 2018. Milan came very close to buying him from Lazio, but Claudio Lotito refused the offer and held on to the player.

In the summer it is expected that the Serbia international will finally change clubs because his contract expiring in 2024 and the strength of the midfielder’s performances (10 goals and 11 assists in the league) means he is ready to make the leap to a top club.

It cannot be excluded that – with the eventual arrival of Investcorp – Milan may focus on Milinkovic-Savic for their midfield, delivering a sensational signing. It would be necessary to allocate a large part of the budget to this operation, but initial enquiries have been made.

  1. If we have to pay above 60 million then we shouldn’t sign him, we can sign 2 young midfielders who can become world class for that amount of money.

  2. No.

    Please No.

He isn’t that good and we don’t need a player that only shows up in 5 matches in a whole season.

It’s Either Nkunku or De Paul.

  3. I want him join AC Milan to replace kessie but with his price 60m euro i don’t believe AC Milan can buy him from Lazio. Beside we still need focused all budget on AMF and RW
