Reports: Milan likely to earn €5.5m from permanent sale of centre-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear set to make a nice windfall in the summer transfer window from a player that some fans may have forgotten, reports claims.

Of course the summer window is always centred around who might arrive to strengthen the squad further ahead of the upcoming season, but funds to help that can also come from the sale of some players who are not deemed central to the project.

PianetaMilan reports how one of these is Leo Duarte, a centre-back who arrived from Flamengo and was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir, where he has collected 29 appearances this season and is increasingly convincing their management.

He moved to Turkey in the winter window in the 2020-21 season and would only be bought permanently if they agree to pay the option to buy which is set at €5.5m, but they currently seem willing to use this option. This news is backed up by journalist Davide Lusinga.
