MN: Milan likely to make use of €4.5m option on Florenzi – the reasons

AC Milan are likely to use their option to make Alessandro Florenzi a permanent signing this summer, according to a report.

The full-back arrived at Milan last summer on loan with an option to buy from Roma and after a difficult start due to injury, he is showing himself to be a leader, while his experience and versatility are very much an asset to Stefano Pioli.

MilanNews write how his performances have been more than reliable since the end of November when he finally disposed of the couple of injuries suffered at the beginning of the season.

Pioli also recently praised him: “He is a strong player, for sure. He is a Milan starter for me, we will see what choices I will make from time to time. What I can say is that I am happy with his performances and with his contribution, he is a player I can only speak well of.”

Milan are seriously considering paying the €4.5m to sign him at the end of the season as we reported, a rather affordable figure that the club are inclined to invest in a European champion and leader on and off the pitch, who already knows what it means to be at the club.
