CM.it: Milan eyeing Liverpool midfield duo – €120m deal could bring green light

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to strengthen their midfield and they currently have their eye on two Liverpool players, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.it, Liverpool are interested in Jude Bellingham and could be willing to sanction an outlay of €120m to beat the competition from clubs such as Real Madrid in order to win the race for the talented Englishman.

Jurgen Klopp has put Bellingham at the top of his wish list to bolster his options in the middle of the park, believing him to be a perfect fit for his 4-3-3 system, and he is willing to ‘make any sacrifice’ to land him.

Milan need to strengthen the midfield after they lost Franck Kessie in the summer while Yacine Adli and Aster Vranckx have failed to convince so far, so in January or next summer they could turn towards Anfield.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are ready to intervene and the names they have on their list are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita. Both are on deals due to expire at the end of the season, and both have been included by Klopp among the expendables to get to Bellingham.

Their ‘cut’ by Liverpool could pave the way for Milan to make a move, with the opportunity to sign two midfielders who have international experience and technical quality.

    1. Those are exactly what kind of players Maldini is after.
Look at Florenzi, Origi, Bakayoko, even his failed attempt to sign the most injury prone player of them all Renato Sanches

        1. Thanks for reminding me about Maignan, also an injury prone player. Missed 2 months last season, Missed another 3 this season so far

        2. “Maignan isn’t really that injury prone as Rebic”.
Maignan, in both seasons as a Milan player, missed a significant amount of time because of injuries . 2 months last season, 3 months so far this season. How is that not being injury prone, especially when we are talking about a GK, not an infield player .

          1. You forgot that: Even after missing so many matches, he won Serie A golden gloves… I also mentioned other players, what’s about them? Are they also injury prone? Injury prone Maignan has a Scudetto and Serie A golden gloves, which Dollarumma couldn’t win in his Milan career.. At least don’t be naive, to judge someone!

  1. Naby Keita could be a good squad option but Oxlade Chamberlain is always injured and never been a starter for any club.

  2. Chamberlain & Naby Keita ? Im sure it is just a rumor.

They don’t match with Maldini’s transfer policy :
    1. Young & have many room for improvements, or
    2. A older player but a real champion and have the important experience for the younger.

  3. Why Milan keeps on wanted very bad players from top clubs who even them they don’t want them so they stuck in their club . Florenzi i was skeptical at first but he is a good squad depth but for origi I knew it was waste of time and money so why you still wanted to get the non wanted players from top clubs? If they stuck there let them stuck . Because they are stuck it’s not worth the time to get them their career is over also again cheap solutions doesn’t prove to be good choice it never is especially 26+ yrold if you find someone like Kalulu-esque deal ok try it but not this

  4. lol please no… wow… would be colossal waste of money. stop taking liverpools scraps. origi obviously has been legendary this far so clearly the rest of their scraps will be too right?
