AC Milan and Chelsea have done plenty of business in the recent pass and could do another deal in the summer, according to a report.
According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan are expected to sign a midfielder in the summer as Aster Vranckx is at the bottom of the hierarchy in terms of Stefano Pioli’s preferences which is why his farewell at the end of the season currently seems obvious.
Milan are eyeing Ruben Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea as a potential replacement, and it is a name they have admired for some time. The first contacts date back to the meeting in the Champions League in London between two clubs, whose owners have a great relationship.
The 27-year-old is having a hard time getting minutes under Graham Potter who doesn’t consider him unsellable, while the Chelsea management are also concretely evaluating the possibility of selling him to make a capital gain.
However, a €25m asking price seems likely even if a lot will depend on the midfielder’s willingness to leave London and listen to the opportunity that Milan put forward to him.
If we want a chelsea midfielder why loftus cheek , gallagher is better , younger and have a lower salary
Ummmm…we are gonna spend 25M for a 27th year old mid…why not just take Kessie back on loan and save the transfer fee?? Salaries are pretty much the same and I’m sure Barca will retain some of Kessie’s. We have such a small budget 25M is too much for a backup to Tonali and Benny
Personally not watching him constantly so can’t make a full judgement. But a brief performance vs. Milan in UCL grup stage looked pretty decent. Adding the fact that we seem to be pretty successful in recruiting ex Chelsea players.
25 mil seems a pretty high request tho.
Skip. Pioli request amrabat , just buy that from fio. Should be cost 30m euro
Take Kessie back on loan. End of story!
Do not worry, it does not matter who they get!
They have a bigger problem and that is the coach…. Pioli
If they are to evolve and beat the likes of Juve, Inter, Napoli and of coarse Fiorentina and CL they need someone else as manager
Pioli has done all he can do
