AC Milan are happy with what Kyle Walker has shown during his loan spell so far and have already made a decision on his future.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Milan management believe that Walker’s impact has been ‘more than positive’. The former Manchester City captain demonstrated all his qualities, immediately earning a starting spot until his recent injury.
The paper are sure that the Rossoneri will therefore exercise the option that they have to buy the right-back from City at the end of this season for a figure of €5m, and he will therefore become a permanent signing.
His name was not one that required much scouting or analysis as a multiple-time Premier League winner and also a Champions League winner. The Rossoneri were hoping that Walker could provide some stability on the right side, having done so under Pep Guardiola for the last few years.
It seems like the switch has been ideal for all parties. Walker made it clear he wanted a fresh start and one outside of England, joining a historic club that won silverware just before he joined, albeit they are struggling domestically and might miss out on Champions League football.
A 35yr old on high wages, falling out of nightclubs on the weekends. What a great signing… wtf happened to us man?
What?
He’s perfect for this Milan side.
He shows as much loyalty to his wife as Milan show to their players.
Nice assist by Calabria the other day to keep Bologna 6 points clear of Milan. Good to see him moving up in the world.
Clearly someone thought a 34 year old walker was the solution Milan needed long term.
Someone at the management level. And with those kind of brain power at that level running this historic club, I am not surprised. 🙃
A LOT of people here thought Walker was the solution to all of our problems…
It still baffles me..
Had to make up for the colossal mistake who goes by the name of Emerson Royal. You may thank the ones who bought the Brazilian.
