AC Milan will get their first January signing over the line shortly as a deal has been fully agreed for Kyle Walker, according to reports.

It is a deal that has been in the pipeline for over a week now and at times it crawled towards a conclusion, but in the end there will be the desired handshakes as the operation has been finalised.

Fabrizio Romano confirms that Milan have agreed deal to sign Walker from City, giving it his famous ‘here we go!’ stamp. It will be a loan move with an option to buy that is ‘not mandatory’, and the salary covered by the Rossoneri.

His travel and medical are being planned, with the Manchester City captain ready for a new chapter after over seven years with Pep Guardiola’s side and 18 major honours won, which is a huge amount.

According to the what has been added by Matteo Moretto and Di Marzio, there will be no loan fee involved and the buy-out option has been set at €5m. A deal until 2027 is ready for the 34-year-old, should it become permanent.

Now the question mark turns to when he will make his debut, with the league game against Parma on Sunday perhaps a bit too soon. Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League or even the derby against Inter seem more realistic possibilities.

      1. Fenerbahçe just got Škriniar so Pavlović will stay while Tomori already refused to move to Juventus and I doubt either Gabbia or Thiaw will leave (hopefully).
So I don’t we will need centerbacks this winter.

        1. What he meant by “need centerbacks” is that we need quality players, not the jokes we have rn (excluding Gabbia and maybe Thiaw for the last few games”

  1. Jimenez is the most important to close now.

Sell Okafor and Emerson to get the funds for it. Walker replaces Emerson and Jimenez is a better backup to Leao then Okafor so we lose nothing, and gain two real good players at crucial positionsm that need strengthening.

    1. I love when people say ‘Sell X’ like it’s that simple. Remember that both players have an asset value against them and selling for lower than that value counts as losing money. Need to find a suitable buyer first (and that’s something this club has really struggled with for years).

  2. If only we can get rid of emerson now will this be a masterpiece signing. Walker brings experience of winning trophies, knowing how to put a cross in and attack and defending. Will be good for a couple of seasons.

  3. Walker is a big upgrade which isn’t saying much since they are upgrading from Emerson. But I do like this signing. He has speed, winning mentality, and experience. He’s not a long term fix but a temporary solution.

  4. nobody wanted him waste of time and money instead of buyin prolific ST 2 CAMs LW/RW CM they bought a 34 yr old nice BANTER ERA 2.0 ibrahimovic from a lion to a puppy CARDINALE IS LIN 2.0

    1. Nobody may have wanted him but atleast Milan are not paying much for him, his age is not ideal but he is an upgrade on Emerson and Calabria on paper.

  5. OK, that’s a good deal, albeit on a very large salary. I am worried about being tied into a long contract for a player with a lot of (top class) miles on his clock.
