CM: Milan move to secure a striker for the future – details of the Lazetic operation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s first signing of the January transfer window should be officially announced in the next few days, according to a report.

With Pietro Pellegri on his way out, Calciomercato.com report how the management moved to secure a centre-forward for the future and that is why they closed a deal for Marko Lazetic of Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade). He turned 18 yesterday but is already being talked about as one of Serbia’s best young attacking prospects, and he will arrive as a low-cost gamble by the Rossoneri.

He will sign from Red Star outright for €4m plus €1m in bonuses, as well as a percentage of the proceeds from a future resale in favour of the Serbian club, which will be fixed at 10%. The two teams are preparing the documents that will sanction the agreement and Lazetic should arrive in Milan on Wednesday.

The youngster will sign a five-year contract with the Rossoneri as he is now allowed to do having turned 18. With imposing physicality, height (1.92m) but also good technique, Milan signed him for the first team where he will grow alongside Ibrahimovic and Giroud.
