AC Milan are planning to continue with talks over a summer deal for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches through his agent, according to a report.
The Rossoneri have been persistently linked with a move for the Portugal international as a potential replacement for Franck Kessie whose contract will expire at the end of the season. Renato Sanches has found his best form again with Lille after a difficult spell at Bayern Munich, and he could well move on to try a new challenge in the summer.
According to what is being reported by Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan are expected to hold new talks over a deal for Sanches in the coming days. They made an attempt to land him in the January transfer window, but were unsuccessful.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will try to get everything agreed before the summer and thus to remove the risk of being usurped by competition, and they are also confidently proceeding in discussions with Jorge Mendes – who is Sanches’ agent too – over Leao’s renewal until 2026.
