CM: Milan expected to generate capital gain from Kerkez sale – no buy-back included

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in line to make a capital gain from the sale of Milos Kerkez, which has somewhat surprisingly come to fruition today.

According to the Calciomercato.com, the 18-year-old defender is heading for AZ Alkmaar and not on a loan deal either, because the Eredivisie side will pay €2m to sign him on a permanent basis and there will not even be a buy-back clause in favour of the Rossoneri.

As MilanLive add, the sale of Kerkez to AZ Alkmaar generates a capital gain for the balance sheet because the left-back moved to Italy in February 2021 for €200k from FC Gyor, which means that a gain of over €1.8m will be recorded.

It was reported at the time that Milan had to beat the competition of Juventus and other European clubs to secure him, but the fact Theo Hernandez is one of the best in the world in his position and the summer signing of Fode Ballo-Toure from Monaco ultimately blocked his path.

  1. I still just don’t understand why this is happening for Christ sake. Am Az alkmaar will value him more than €10M by end of next season

  2. What the f is wrong with this club…acting so cheap… just for 2 mil they are selling and again now they are signing young players…this so cheap business..and the dumb thing is no buy back clauses …really feeling disgusting with the way milan are doing the business…need a good and smart negotiations people at the club

  3. Every time the same shit. These guys always sell our own talent talent for peanuts claiming capital gains. Can’t wait to show off my 100th ‘I told you so’ moment when this guy explodes in 2-3 seasons and will be like 30 mil worth.

  4. What is the point of selling this kid now for only 1.8M capital gain??? How embarrassing. What the hell kind of player can you buy for that? Are we going to use it to fix the pitch at the San Siri lol. We are a laughing stock. Why not get rid of Balo-Toure and let this kid develop – then perhaps sell him for some real money in a few years. Embarassing
