Despite signing Samuele Ricci and Luka Modric, there is a frustration surrounding AC Milan this summer, due to a lack of business.
Two signings are done so far, however, the squad is still far from complete. Of course, the window has only just re-opened, and it is not like Milan are unaware of what needs doing, far from it. However, ideas and actions are two different things entirely.

The club may have the idea of signing a certain number of players – reported to be around five or so. However, the work towards that goal is lacking thus far. After last season, excuses cannot be made either.
Speed up Milan
Today, Pietro Mazzara wrote about the feeling emerging from the summer so far for MilanNews, especially with the pace not quickening as the Rossoneri prepare for their pre-season tour.

“The signal coming from the fans, as a whole, is one of great disillusionment with AC Milan’s management style, which doesn’t lead to dreams of €50-60 million signings because the principle of risk diversification and investment remains a must-have in transfer market decisions. Signings like Reijnders or Pulisic don’t always work out, and if, when they do, like Tijjani, it’s not seen as a certain amount, then the doubts of the public (and not only) increase.
“This was what Maldini meant when he publicly said the transfer market needed to be raised. Did he make the wrong statement? Probably, because that’s when he publicly clashed with the owners, but the concept remains alive, with some deviations from the theme.”
Considering what has happened in recent years, the lack of belief is not really a shock. However, there is still time.

The problem is too many targets and the resulting indecisiveness. Or is it poor scouting strategies or the frequent haggling over valuations that have plagued our transfers. Identify a player and make your move…if not someone else will get ahead of you.
The problem is that redbird is not here to win anything except the financial sucdeto. The only hope is that they will finish the stadium fast enough so they can make some profits and sell the club otherwise we are not seeing any titles, legendary generations or anything similar to that

I certainly have never expected regular 50-60m signings, however in certain roles it is the most economical way long term, striker being the obvious one.
Had we paid 50m or so for the likes of Sesko we would have saved money, given all the failed players brought in.
We need to be sharper at snapping up young talent in the 20-30m bracket.
Overall we would have been better signing quality over quantity in recent years, 5 or 6 signings should be max when you have a good base. Spend more on fewer players. After our scudetto win we needed a RW, AM and striker as major investments and we could have developed younger players or indeed veterans for depth. Instead we spread our finances thin on many average players.
Whats more, we don’t hold onto our best players which will mean we are always rebuilding.
If indeed we know a player is going, have a replacement lined up eg. Theo
We will miss him next season, when whatever average player they sign is a dud.

Agree, but I still think Fofana should have another season to prove himself. He came into a toxic environment, he had nothing to do with.
Pulisic is the catalyst for making Milan open its
purse strings. He is holding out signing a new contract to see what direction Milan will go.

We aren’t going anywhere while the same group is in charge. Even with one competition Top4 won’t be as comfortable as we suspect because we can’t attract any good quality to this side. We can’t even sell whatever project they are trying to build with the Milan name attached to it to second-rate bench players…
