AC Milan and Napoli are not only battling for the Scudetto on the field but are also eyeing the same transfer target, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan and Napoli both want Ferdi Kadioglu of Fenerbahce. He was Born in the Netherlands to a Turkish father and a Dutch mother and played for local clubs around Arnhem, before being picked up by NEC Nijmegen.

He played throughout the youth team for them until his debut in the first team, establishing himself as a central midfielder who moved between the attacking trident and the role of mezzala, but then he began to find himself playing wider.

Kadioglu joined Fenerbahce in July 2018 as the Turkish giants chose to invest in him, also making him abandon the Dutch youth national teams in favour of the Turkish national team, making his debut in the Nations League.

The 23-year-old now functions mainly as a full-back or a wide midfielder, and he has a high asking price of no less than €20m, but his father Feyzullah Kadioglu confirmed the interest of Milan and Napoli in an interview he gave.

“They’ve contacted us. We’re pleased about the interest from big clubs, but our priority remains Fenerbahce. We want to win the league here, do good for the club. If Fenerbahce were to give us the go-ahead, then we would evaluate other options for the transfer market,” he said.
