AC Milan are interested in bringing winger Gerard Deulofeu back to the club this summer but they face competition, according to a report.
Deulofeu joined Milan from Everton in January of 2017 on a six-month loan deal making 18 appearances, scoring four goals and adding three assists. A number of outlets suggested that the deal could be made permanent, but his former club Barcelona swooped in and exercised their buy-back clause.
He has been linked with a move back to Milan on numerous occasions since and has even publicly expressed a desire to one day return given how much he enjoyed his loan spell with the Rossoneri.
According to Matteo Moretto, Milan are one of the clubs monitoring his situation at Udinese, where he is under contract until 2024. Napoli, Fiorentina and Roma also have Deulofeu on their radar ahead of the summer, with an asking price of around €15-20m in place for the 27-year-old, who has 7 league goals this season.
Would be nice to have their flair with our current squad. We have several players now needing to do dribbling runs down the left. Would be great if we had another that can do this, or even on the right.
