Nicolo Zaniolo’s future is once again the subject of speculation and AC Milan are reportedly keen on signing him, as well as their title rivals.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) the future of Zaniolo remains uncertain at the moment because his contract has 18 months left to run and he is yet to extend his deal.
The paper states that Zaniolo has entered the radar of Napoli who have already contacted the agent of the forward to get some information on a possible operation, given that Luciano Spalletti is a big admirer of the 23-year-old. They would be willing to bid €30m.
However, La Gazzetta go on to mention that Zaniolo is a player that Stefano Pioli likes too and for that reason Milan are also monitoring the evolution of his situation at Roma.
Zaniolo was linked heavily with Milan in the summer but it seemed that the Rossoneri did not want to part with the money that it would have costed to sign him.
*Fingers crossed* He would be an excellent signing for anyone but Milan. Costs a lot and brings nothing to the table.
Technically if he is to stay fit he will upgrade our right wing – but that’s a big if for a guy that torn his ACL twice before 22.
But with the money Roma asks there’s plenty of better options out there.
