CM: Milan negotiating over Florenzi fee as player makes his will clear

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan want to sign Alessandro Florenzi on a permanent basis and negotiations with Roma are underway regarding the fee, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com state that Milan have decided to keep Florenzi because of his experience, character and the ability to play multiple roles with quality. He was one of the great protagonists of Milan’s Scudetto win, redeeming himself on a personal level after difficult loan spells at Valencia and PSG, and now he wants to stay.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working with Roma to make this wish come true, while they themselves are convinced that a player with such qualities can give a lot and also be useful for the UEFA and Serie A squad list regulations given he is a homegrown player.

Milan are looking for a discount on the €4.5m agreed last summer at the time of his loan. There have been contacts over the last few days and an offer of €2.5m was considered too low, but at €3-3.5m the deal can be closed. Either way, Florenzi’s future does not seem to be in doubt.
