AC Milan appear to have finally settled on the name of Jean Onana having bounced around various midfield targets for weeks, according to a report.
According to Calciomercato.com, Onana is a name that has been pinned on Milan’s agenda for some time as scouts were impressed by the physical power shown by the Cameroon international, and now things are heating up.
A couple of days ago Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara decided to move to the operational phase by starting the first contacts with both Bordeaux and the agents of the player over the potential transfer, with his representatives in particular at work to make things happen and get their client his big move.
Onana’s representatives met with Bordeaux’s management yesterday afternoon to reiterate Milan’s desire to carry out the operation. The asking price is €6-7m from the Ligue 2 club, while the Rossoneri do not want to go beyond €5m.
Nonetheless, dialogues are in progress and there is a positive feeling that Onana could arrive. The name of Aster Vranckx of Wolfsburg is currently the first alternative.
