CM: Milan hold new talks over PSG and Spurs duo as search for a centre-back ramps up

By Oliver Fisher -

Now that the Charles De Ketelaere saga has ended in the best possible way, AC Milan must turn towards the signing of a new defender and there are a couple of names in mind.

According to Calciomercato.com, Abdou Diallo remains the first choice target for the Rossoneri management given that he is left-footed and he can also play as a left-back if necessary. However, Paris Saint-Germain have not yet opened to the idea of a loan formula and he also has a high salary.

On Tuesday, there were new contacts between Milan and the agent of Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga. Tottenham are open to a load but they want there to be a loan fee involved and for it to be an obligation to buy at the end rather than an option, which the Rossoneri would prefer.

Milan could in fact say yes to an obligation only upon the occurrence of certain conditions, linked to the achievement of certain objectives, in a deal worth €23-25m in total. Now, we must see how the Diallo situation plays out.
