GdS: Milan have made no recent progress in negotiations over Kessie’s replacement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping that they will bring in Renato Sanches to replace Franck Kessie but the deal seems to have stalled, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Kessie is destined for Barcelona which means that Milan have been working for some time to sign his replacement, and one of the hottest names is Lille’s Renato Sanches.

The Rossoneri have been following his progress for some time after he had a resurgence with the Ligue 1 club and things were moving along well, but in recent weeks there has been no progress in the negotiations for the Portuguese player.

It seems that finding an agreement with Lille will not be a problem because they are aware that the summer represents their last chance to sell for value given his contract situation, but agreeing terms with the Portugal international and his agent Jorge Mendes is where the hitch is.
