GdS: Milan to continue observing with Retegui set for another Italy start

By Oliver Fisher -

Roberto Mancini is set to reward Mateo Retegui after his first goal for Italy with another start against Malta tomorrow, according to a report.

The 23-year-old Argentine-born striker was called up by Mancini for this international break and he made his debut for the Azzurri in their 2-1 defeat to England on Friday night, scoring the only goal with a tidy finish into the bottom corner.

His exploits in the Primera Liga where he has scored six goals in six games for Tigre on loan from Boca Juniors has attracted speculation that a move over to Europe could be on the cards, more specifically Serie A.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) this morning, Mancini is expected to give Retegui another start tomorrow as Italy take on Malta. Milan, Inter, Juventus and Napoli will again closely observe the 23-year-old, with all four clubs keen on a potential summer transfer.
