AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Udinese star Roberto Pereyra on what would be a free transfer, according to a report.
The summer transfer window has not even officially opened yet but Milan are being linked with a wide variety of different targets in virtually every department as the new-look management aim to raise the level of the squad.
According to what is being reported by MilanPress, in the last few hours the agents of Pereyra have offered the versatile 32-year-old to Milan on a free transfer.
The Argentine’s contract with the Friulians is about to expire and it seems as though he will not be signing an extension, so he could become a low-cost option for the attack.
Last season Pereyra was one of Udinese’s key men as he racked up 5 goals and 9 assists in 36 games in 2022-23 between the league and the Coppa Italia, playing as an attacking midfielder and a box-to-box midfielder.
Statistically he is not young but still has something to show

What are you people crazy? Milan has Tonali, Krunic, Pobega as midfielders right now. Milan needs at least 3 new midfielders. You don’t compete in CL and Serie A with 2 good midfielders, but 4 or 5. Bennacer is out for the season probably, even if he is back in February, how will he play? We should sign a reliable and tried Serie A midfielder asap, and on a free as there is no money. What do you think you can get for 50M transfer budget, when you need to sign 5 players? This is better than expected by me, honestly. We need to sign him, Samardzic and one more player for midfield.

Milan does need 6 if we count the AM position. But if we count the AM position, Milan has 5 midfielders and one Bennacer atm.

I started watching Milan as a kid in the late 80s..fell in love with those colors, the players and the football they played. So of course I’m going to defend Maldini. He represents Milan and the memories of Milan. Directors can come and go but the legend of these players will always remain.

We need Pobega because he is club homegrown. The same reason we need Gabbia. They can be 5th DM/CM and 5th CB respectively.
