Relevo: Milan have ‘other priorities’ and do not think Ziyech deal is ‘viable’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s pursuit of Hakim Ziyech has been played down with the management instead focusing on other priorities, as per a journalist.

There are a number of sources claiming that Milan are interested in signing Ziyech having tried to get him in previous transfer windows. He is not currently a big part of the Chelsea project, so the feeling is that the 29-year-old Moroccan could leave.

Now, Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto has given an update on his Twitter profile: “Hakim Ziyech to Milan, the deal is not hot. To date, the club has other priorities and does not believe it is a viable track. We will update.”

It seems that there is nothing concrete at the moment and there are no ongoing negotiations to sign the former Ajax star, and while it is not excluded by Moretto that Milan will make a move in the coming weeks, for now nothing is moving.

Alexis Saelemaekers will rejoin the fold in time for the resumption of the Serie A season and Junior Messias will be hoping to play his part too.

  1. It’s frustrating that M&M don’t think that the RW needs reinforcement. Alexis and Junior are not the solution. They are somewhat decent although irregular but overall a couple of notches below other sectors, and the left side with Theo and Rafa is much stronger, creating a lack of offensive balance. Everybody knows that. How come M&M seem to ignore it???
