On a senior level, AC Milan have been very poor this season. However, we can look to the future with renewed excitement.

The main focus for everyone is the work done in the first team, and this is the case for Milan and everyone else. However, a club like the Rossoneri should also have a conveyor belt of talent coming through the ranks.

Of course, this is the case, as it has been historically.

Whilst we have not seen as much youth involvement this season, we have seen several youngsters impress when called upon, and the Diavolo are planning on two renewals in the next few weeks it seems.

Calciomercato.com report that Davide Bartesaghi and Lorenzo Torriani will both be given new deals shortly. The left-back’s deal will run until 2030, a huge deal, to put off the clubs who have been following him. Torriani, likewise, will be given a three year extension on his current deal, seeing him stay until 2030.

Matteo Moretto confirms this information, reporting that the ‘bureaucratic process’ will be finalised shortly, and announcements can be expected at some point this week. Furthermore, the journalist has revealed that the defender will receive €600,000 per season, which will surely be a nice upgrade.

  1. I feel that if we keep the back 3 we should try and transition bartesaghi into a cb, if not make him deputy left back if they stays or start putting him into the starting squad and not just on the bench.

  2. I don’t care about Torriani (Raveyre is better) but Barts renewal is very important. Then also do Sala, Scotti, Liberali asap.

  3. What does lazy management do if they don’t want to invest in better players? Why, promote the youth of course.

  4. They also talking about future and future but when ?? When they will play for first team ?? I think the time is now…

  5. Yess bro.. bartesaghi left footed and have tall physically.. Milan need left footed CB. I thinks it’s good to play him on that position.

  6. If Milan are serious in rebuilding from zero for next season, Bartesaghi should be the second choice left back for next season and given opportunities to start games against weaker oppositions. Zeroli too can be brought up into the team this way.

Torriani should be 1st choice GK in the event that Maignan is sold. We wont find the next Donnarumma if we dont take risks, albeit calculated ones. We are seeing that with Jimenez now.

Rebuilding the playing squad with young players more or less takes 3 years to bear fruits. So fans should also be patient with the youngsters.

  7. Locking them down and not playing them. Then they’ll be sold for 1M€ to Atalanta so they can finally kickstart their careers and earn their place in the Azzurri too. How many times have we seen it happen? Too many. Way too many.

  8. They need to bring them in + Camarda and Liberali for the dead rubber against Monza… but it will be the usual suspects from our clueless coach… expect Felix..
