A number of different AC Milan players showed up at Milanello for training today despite Stefano Pioli allocating it as a day off, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, several players spontaneously presented themselves at Milanello today to work even during a rest day, including Fikayo Tomori, Alessandro Florenzi, Theo Hernandez, Brahim Diaz and others. Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao should soon finally resume training with the group.

  1. I keep seeing this kind of news about players training on rest days and although I admire the dedication, I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t a factor in the huge number on injuries.
Rest days should be chosen by the coach together with the medical/sports science team based on an analysis of the workload and should be respected.

    1. Absolutely correct. In fact, if a player fails to respect a rest day, he should be sanctioned and fined. They can do whatever personal training they want in their individual homes, but it should not be at Milanelo. The club needs to enforce the rules about rest days.
