MN: Milan predicted XI vs. Slovan Bratislava – Changes galore in the Champions League

Paulo Fonseca is expected to make several changes to the AC Milan side that drew to Juventus at the weekend, and there is a notable change in attack.

After the draw at the weekend, Milan are desperate for a win. The fans are becoming frustrated, and their patience is running thin, as shown at the weekend. Despite Fonseca’s words of understanding in his pre-match press conference, if there is no improvement, the displays of frustration will only become more frequent.

For this reason, a dominant Rossoneri must be on display tomorrow night, and Fonseca will make a few changes to ensure everyone is at their best levels, as Milan News reports.

In defence, Mike Maignan remains between the sticks, and the only survivors from Saturday are expected to be Matteo Gabbia and Theo Hernandez. Partnering the Italian should be Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria will start after Emerson Royal has not recovered from his injury, as confirmed by Fonseca.

The midfield pivot, as expected, remains the same: Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana, and they will be spearheaded by the returning Christian Pulisic.

On the wings, there are set to be two changes, Samuel Chukwueze returns in the place of Yunus Musah and Rafael Leao is to be moved to the bench, with Fonseca preferring to use Noah Okafor on the left.

With Alvaro Morata’s suspension, Tammy Abraham will lead the line, and the Englishman has stated he feels ready to play.

  1. Thiaw was fine against Juve. We need to settle on a primary CB pair and stop changing the defence every match.

Big call to put Leao on the bench. Don’t think it os the right call.

  2. Was leao not supposedly limping off at the end of the game. It’s Bratislava who Celtic thrashed. I think we can rotate and rest players. Not sure who’ll be on the bench but fofana or reijnders should get some rest in this game at some point too.

  3. Leao should play unless it is an injury. Maybe one of the “statement” benchings of Leao took courage on Fonseca’s part. But Leao needs to play. Stop the ridiculous rotation.
Again, if it’s injury related, fine. But otherwise there is no excuse.

      1. “Well” if you compare them to Royal and RLC. But in reality, not that well. Against Juve he was supposed to cover Royal and didn’t and created nothing going forward as RW/RM. That means well?

  4. I just wondering. Why every Milan coach after Ancelloti, is so stubborn.

Fonseca win with 442 when derby, so why must he back to 4231 like Pioli did.

That’s why we are still like now. No forward progress.

  5. We are playing with Chukwueze pulisic okafor and abraham. Theres nothing wrong with those four.
Leao will come in second half if he is not injured.

  6. Hmmm….it would be better to start Terraciano instead of Calabria, he is bigger, stronger, fitter, and he is the future, Calabria honestly does not belong in this team, it would be better to start with RLC in a double pivot with Fofana, then push Reinjders to the attacking midfield role, then use Pulisic on the right, honestly at this point in time playing Chukwueze and Calabria is a waste of time, they don’t have what it takes
