GdS: Milan could face two major Premier League sides during World Cup break

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan could be set to face both Arsenal and Liverpool during the World Cup break in friendlies as they seek to maintain fitness, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are making plans for the players that will not be heading to Qatar with their national teams for the 2022 World Cup.

There will be a short holiday period after the Fiorentina match on November 13 and then a ten-day retreat will begin in Dubai. That is where they are set to face Liverpool and possibly Arsenal as well, two teams with plenty of players at the World Cup.

Then Stefano Pioli’s players will head back to Milan to prepare for the first game after the world Cup which is away at Salernitana on January 4.

A decent proportion of the Milan squad will be absent but it will allow the coach to focus on other players.
