MN: Rossoneri relaunch pursuit of decorated Real Madrid forward – “Milan’s interest is a pride”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again been linked with a move for Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio and his entourage has even confirmed it.

MilanNews recalls how today SportMediaset reported some very interesting statements from Asensio’s representatives: “Milan’s interest is a pride, a future at Milan is an option, there are also offers from a couple of clubs English including Arsenal, we are ready to evaluate every possibility.”

After trying to sign him last summer, the Spanish playmaker appears to be back in fashion with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara ready to make another attempt.

With two LaLiga titles, two Supercopa de Espana trophies, two Champions League wins, two UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA Club World Cups to his name – thus totalling 11 trophies – Asensio knows how to win and could be valuable from that aspect.

He would make a big difference not only in the current Milan squad which is lacking in consistency in the attack, but also in Serie A with his quality. The only doubt there could be towards him is linked to his physical condition, but the winger has 34 total appearances this season with 10 goals and 1 assist.

If there was really the possibility of signing him then Maldini and Massara are ready to pounce, hoping to leverage the preferential lane with Los Blancos.
