As we get nearer to the end of the season and subsequently closer to the summer transfer market, the Milan management are already planning some moves to strengthen the team.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Milan are planning to buy two players from Lille once the mercato opens in centre-back Sven Botman and central midfielder Renato Sanches.
For both players it will be necessary to set aside a substantial figure in order to reach a full agreement with the French club, even if the prices are likely to be different given their contractual situations.
The Dutch defender is on a deal which is due to expire in 2025, so he may require more of an economic effort from a transfer fee point of view, while for the Portuguese midfielder – whose contract with Lille will end in thirteen months – an agreement with the Ligue 1 club ‘should not be an insurmountable obstacle’.
