Tuttosport: Milan to reignite Zaniolo move in the summer

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan will attempt to sign Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer after missing out on the AS Roma forward in January, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Italian forward ended up staying at Roma despite his clear desire to leave.

The Giallorossi had accepted an advance from Bournemouth but the player said no as he wanted to join Milan. The Rossoneri proposed a loan for €500,000 with a purchase obligation of €17.5 million plus bonuses should Milan reach the Champions League.

Roma refused this offer, but Milan will try to sign him in the summer as he will then begin the final year of his Roma contract. The Giallorossi may sell him for a reduced fee rather than lose him a year later for free.

Zaniolo has long been clear that he would like to play for Milan in his career and that became very clear during January when they were his priority.

  1. Let’s get him next season and give him a fair chance. When someone sincerely want to join Milan, that’s really a value-added thing. Remember the case of Tonali? When he’s willing to cut his salary just to make the move to Milan permanent. And we all know he’s been a valuable part of our squad ever since.

Why can’t give this guy a same chance. Yes, yes, he shares different attitude than Tonali. But that’s just one side of story we’ve been hearing time and time again.
