M’Baye Niang heading towards the Premier League?

By Isak Möller -

Sky Sport Italia reports that Milan has rejected an offer from Liverpool for French striker Niang. The Reds reportedly offered the Rossoneri Mario Balotelli in return, who looks set to return to England after his loan spell with Milan expires.

M’Baye Niang was one of the best players for Milan in the Serie A 2015/16, despite being out several months with a foot injury in the beginning of the season. The French striker has recently attracted interest from the Premier League, with the likes of Leicester, Liverpool and Tottenham all being interested in his signature.

Liverpool has according to Sky Italia offered Milan a swap deal for Niang including Mario Balotelli, who currently is out on loan at Milan. The striker though has failed to make an impact during his comeback in Serie A and he is likely to return to Liverpool when his loan expires, despite the Reds revealing he is not a part of their future plan, as they’re are now doing everything to find a new destination for Mario.

Milan on the other hand, are not interested in trading one of their best strikers for Balotelli and have according to Sky rejected the offer.

Milan will on Saturday play against league winners Juventus in the Coppa Italia final, which is the Rossoneri’s only chance of reaching Europa League. Scouts from Liverpool and Tottenham will be attending the game to watch M’Baye Niang, who could make his first start since February.
