Di Marzio: Milan already have two investments planned for the summer – the targets

By Oliver Fisher -

The January mercato may have just ended but AC Milan have big plans for the summer transfer window and they already have two signings lined up, a journalist has claimed.

Speaking on Sky Sport (via MilanNews), Gianluca Di Marzio commented on the Milan transfer market and confirmed that the management wanted to sign both centre-back Sven Botman and midfielder Renato Sanches before the window closed earlier today.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara tried to sign Botman for the whole January window while Renato Sanches was a target for the last few days. After failing to get either of them – the primary targets for each position – the Rossoneri preferred to give up rather than sign players with no absolute conviction.

Milan postponed the investments until the summer market, during which the 22-year-old Dutchman and the 24-year-old Portuguese international will once again be concrete targets.

  1. Botman, Sanches, Noa Lang and Belloti addition and the return of Adli and Pobega will be very good addition for more competitive next season. Castillejo and Messias can go. Krunic and Florenzi can be remain in the team. However, Ballo-Toure need to replace for a younger left back.

    Maignan/Plizzari/Tatarusanu
    Calabria/Florenzi/Kalulu – Botman/Kjaer – Tomori/Gabbia – Hernandez/Ballo-Toure
    Sanches/Pobega/Krunic – Tonali/Bennacer
    Lang/Saelemaekers – Diaz/Adli – Leao/Rebic
    Ibra/Giroud/Belloti/Lazetic

  2. I’m not convinced by either player. I’d prefer Casale and striker, Sanches is a fraud. Milan should save the money for Schick.

  3. First they need to offload castilejo and caldara either by Loan or permanently transfer, i don’t think they need activate junior option ( he is not starter quality RW and weak if deploy in AMF). Botman ,Renato/kamara,noa Lang would be good addition and last but very important this club need long term striker that already proven as starter ( not recommended extend Ibra contract since he Will be 41 next season with 7m euro /years). Ibra lacking stamina, speed and often injury, age cannot be lying

  4. they will only buy 1 cheap young defender to replace Romagnoli
no substitute for kessie, there is pobega and baka
no diaz backup, there is adli
right wing is complete, messias will be permanent
no new striker, can still rely on ibra.
then they said “our squad is already competitive to get TOP FOUR”, shit!!!
