Laudisa: Milan willing to make ‘important investment’ on Renato Sanches – why ‘silence fell’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not making any real breakthroughs in their latest round of talks over midfielder Renato Sanches, according to one journalist.

Carlo Laudisa of La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke in a video on Carlo Pellegatti’s YouTube channel (via MilanNews) about Milan’s interest in Renato Sanches and remarked that ‘silence fell’ on the pursuit.

His non-arrival in January was because the player asked for ‘more 6 million euros in salary’ which caused a stoppage. Milan are ready to make an ‘important investment’ on him in terms of a transfer fee, but even the latest attempts with the player are ‘not giving the desired results’.

There is also strong competition from the Premier League, and therefore there is a chance that the whole thing goes up in smoke and the Portuguese international never ends up joining the club.

Laudisa ends by speculating that in addition to Yacine Adli’s arrival, Tommaso Pobega’s return from loan means the Rossoneri ‘could be okay even with the departure of Kessie’.

  1. He is a good player but not so important for our set-up. If he isn’t coming there are players of his level or better than him…. I trust in Tonali, Bennacer, Adli and Pobega!❤️🖤

  2. A salary of 6 mil is outrageous. Sanches should be grateful that a club like Milan is interested in his services. He still has to prove that he is a player of value. Bayern made the wrong call investing so much in his services. IMHO Pobega, Tonali, Benacer, Adli and Krunic are enough. We should invest in our week points like RW and attack.

  3. abdul and savicevic — I agree with both of you.

Let’s spend more time and money trying to find a good RIGHT WING player!
