CalcioNapoli24: Milan request information from Napoli about Osimhen

AC Milan have enquired about the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli, according to one journalist.

In a behind closed doors press conference given to journalists late last month, Igli Tare confirmed what the plan is for the No.9 role, more specifically the aim to sign another striker to partner Santiago Gimenez.

Given the departures of Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham – plus the imminent one of Francesco Camarda – there is a numerical need to add another centre-forward. However, it is also believed to be a specific request from Massimiliano Allegri, who wants a guaranteed 20+ goal man.

Osimhen an option?

There have been links with lots of strikers ever since, naturally. They range from domestic options such as Moise Kean, Dusan Vlahovic, Mateo Retegui and Lorenzo Lucca, to names from abroad like Aleksandr Mitrovic and Victor Boniface.

Now, Luca Cerchione of CalcioNapoli24 has tweeted something rather interesting: “Milan have requested information from Napoli about Victor Osimhen.”

In truth, it seems unfathomable at the moment that Milan would be able to get together the kind of financial package needed to sign the Nigerian. However, a bit like with the Vlahovic story, the longer that things drag on in the window the more urgency there may be for Napoli to offload.

      1. Gala reportedly bid €50mn plus add ons but Napoli want at least €60mn guaranteed.

Not sure theyre in a great negotiating position as Osimhen value already down from near €100mn. Every year he prob loses €20mn from his price tag

Its unlikely but not impossible we’re genuinely in the running

  1. AdL is a very very tough negotiator. Osimhen is the best option for a striker, but I highly doubt that he will end up with us.

  2. De Laurentis: Hello. Pronto.
Furlani: Ciao Aurelio, it’s Furlani you know, president of Milan, the midget banker who doesn’t know how to run a football club but the Americans love me anyways.
De Laurentis: oh the little man. ma che catso vuoi?
Furlani: I would like to buy Oshimen. How much?
    De Laurentis: 70 M
    Fulani: “click”
De Laurentis: hello? Georgio? Sèi ancora li???Georgio…Georgio….
De Laurentis to Contè: was it something I said??

  3. If we manage to pull this through, our second star is confirmed.
It will massively boost the morale of the team with such a statement.

  4. Musah + 20M now, and 20M next July. If they reject, up it to Musah + 25M now, and 20M next July, etc., until they reach 50-55M + Musah, and then call it a day if it doesn’t work.

  5. Osihmen is far from an alternative. He is the main striker. He would start almost every important game.
Imagine Leao, Osihmen and Pulisic. We will win the league hands down. Great attack is good defense.

  6. To try this until now is ridiculous. Since season ended, or even before, they should had gone to Napoli and say to them to keep Okafor, to have Musah as well, and offer 40-50 M cash to be paid half this summer, half next summer. That would have meant for Napoli to get 50 M in 2 summers, plus Musah who they wanted and Okafor who was with them (don’t know if maybe they didn’t want him now, but in that case Milan has like 5-6 other players that they want to sell.
