CM: Milan want to reward Tomori for exceptional season amid England call-up – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

It has been a fantastic few days for Fikayo Tomori as he first won the Scudetto with AC Milan and then got a call-up from Gareth Southgate for the English national team.

The aggression and athleticism that Tomori has shown since he arrived at Milan has allowed Stefano Pioli to completely reinvent the way his defence plays, as they now operate with a high line that look to be proactive but are always capable of making up ground.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan management want to reward Tomori for his role in the title-winning side – which conceded just 2 goals in the last 11 league games including 9 clean sheets – and in the next few days they will meet his entourage.

The idea is to extend his deal until 2027 (the current deadline is set for 2025) with a substantial pay rise from the €2m net per season he gets at the moment. Tomori admitted to feeling great at Milan earlier today in an interview, and now Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to show the love is mutual.
