AC Milan continue to be heavily linked with a move for River Plate star Julian Alvarez, and an update has arrived on the situation.
The 21-year-old striker has already scored 15 goals in the 39 appearances he has accumulated across all competitions this season, which means he has attracted the interest of some clubs across the ocean in Europe.
According to Calciomercato.it, at present there have been no contacts – official or unofficial – between the parties involved to discuss a deal for Alvarez. Several intermediaries have come forward and offered their services as a point of contact between the clubs and the player’s agents, but no direct call has arrived from the Rossoneri to ask for information or to make an offer.
River Plate meanwhile have not fixed a price and are awaiting the first official offers to understand what value other clubs place on Alvarez. From that moment on, the Argentine club will begin an auction and would be happy to sell to the highest bidder.
